About Friends of the Cedar Key Airport

The Friends of the Cedar Key Airport are an unincorporated association with a love and appreciation for the George T. Lewis airport (KCDK). All are welcome to join whether you are a pilot or not, aircraft owner, airport area home owner, local business owner, or just an aviation enthusiast. There is no cost to join and you will be kept up to date on airport safety information and events. Meetings are held to discuss what the airport can do for the community and what the community can do for the airport.

We are a group who are interested in:

Keeping the Cedar Key Airport open,
Helping its safety & economic benefits to Cedar Key and Levy County, and
Helping its operational safety.

Recent News - December 2012

Notice to Members: Some emails on our list have been bouncing, if you have not received our messages recently about meeting changes and would still like to be kept up to date, please resend your email to info@cedarkeyairport.org

The port-a-potty on the ramp has been a relief for many landing pilots at KCDK who have sent in special thanks for our efforts to install it. Now, it is a battle to keep in available! It is up to the The Friends of the Cedar Key Airport, as it is entirely funded by members and people like you! There is no help from the City or County. Without your help, in the coming months we will have to lose this facility. Please support our efforts by donating via the Paypal button on our Home Page.

We now are up to 168 members as of December 2012!
