The Cedar Key Airport would not be as it is today without your help. From 2011-2012 the Friends of the Cedar Key Airport conducted the first pilot survey which was presented to both the city of Cedar Key and Levy County with the directive to keep the airfield open to the public and advocate additional safety features. This was achieved by providing the data from pilots like you about the economical benefit to having the airport. The information also played a huge role in achieving numerous upgrades including the perimeter fence, port-a-potty, runway resurfacing, lighting improvements, and new windsocks. We want to sincerely thank all the aviators who took the time to complete the visitor surveys we've run over the years. This is an ongoing effort put forth by the Friends of the Cedar Key Airport.
OUR 2016 OBJECTIVE Over the years Friends of the Cedar Key Airport has kept a running list of the feedback we've received about the airport. We're very proud to say that we've successfully addressed all of the top items with the exception of additional aircraft parking tie down spaces. The 2016 survey linked above focuses on aircraft parking availability, challenges, and its impact on visiting pilots. We also continue to capture data surrounding the economical benefit of the airport and it's significance in Cedar Key tourism.
